My blog was launched off the back of my Instagram page @thesavvyspenderofficial that I set up in September 2021 after going on maternity leave.
I gave birth to my beautiful daughter in May 2021. Being on maternity leave and being prisoner to SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay) was really getting me down, I had to kickstart making some extra side income, and wanted to make my journey public to help others.
I’ve always been money savvy, growing up in a one parent household, I’ve always wanted to do my part.
There’s been two parts to my savvy-ness: saving money & making money…
I’ve never been one to pay full price for anything I buy which is where the ‘savvy spender’ name comes from! Hunting for sales, discount codes and cheaper alternatives has saved me so much over the years.

I’ve never been one to pay full price for anything I buy which is where the ‘savvy spender’ name comes from! Hunting for sales, discount codes and cheaper alternatives has saved me so much over the years.
I’ve also had several entrepreneurial ventures throughout my life and have never wanted to settle for just one salary from my 9-5. My first venture started in senior school, 13 years of age making personalised bracelets and selling them to my friends at school for a healthy profit.
My other ventures as I grew up included forever flower arrangements, baby shower set ups, a vegan bakery – all of them bought in great money, but I just didn’t love them enough to grow them into a successful full time business.
Fast-forward to now, I make money online and my money blogs are what I live for! I love helping others save money, make money and invest money. So if that’s what you’re looking to do, you’ve come to the right place!
So, you’re probably wondering how do YOU make money online…
There are several ways you can make money online, some short term money makers and some longer term.
What works for me, may not work for you, but it’s best to give everything a go and see what you like the most, and stick with it.

Refer a friend schemes
What you get out, depends on how much effort you put in, you can make thousands (just like I have) with these ‘side hustles’ as I like to call them, but like I said, what works for me may not work for you.
